Community Innovations for Aging In Place Program
In her message in support of National Aging in Place Week (October
12-18), Assistant Secretary for Aging Kathy Greenlee stated that helping older
individuals age in place – at home - is one of her highest priorities. In
support of this commitment, she went on discuss AoA’s new Community Innovations
for Aging in Place (CIAIP) Initiative, which funds community-based non-profit
organizations to assess the needs of their community and design innovative
interventions that will make it easier for older adults to age in place.
